Maharajas Express Facilities
Comfort and Style in Every Carriage
The train has 23 coaches in total. These include guest cabins, dining areas, bars, lounges, a power coach, and a storage coach. Out of these, 14 coaches are for guests and can carry up to 84 people. One of the lounges, called the Rajah Club, has its own private bar. The train also has two dining coaches and one separate bar coach. For clean drinking water, there’s a special water filter system on board.
Inside the Luxury Guest Cabins: Deluxe to Presidential Suites
The train can carry up to 84 guests, with comfortable space to sit and sleep. It has 20 Deluxe Cabins, 18 Junior Suites, 4 Suites, and 1 special Presidential Suite. Every suite has its own full bathroom, giving guests a private and relaxing stay.
The Presidential Suite is truly special—it takes up an entire coach on its own. It includes a private sitting and dining area, a main bedroom with a bathroom that has both a shower and a bathtub, and a second bedroom with two beds and its own bathroom with a shower.
Dining and Bar Coaches: Rang Mahal, Mayur Mahal & Rajah Club
The train has two dining coaches called Rang Mahal and Mayur Mahal. Both offer a full fine dining experience with a variety of tasty dishes. Mayur Mahal, also known as the Peacock Restaurant, is decorated with a beautiful peacock feather theme.
There is also a special bar coach called the Rajah Club. For guests who want to relax, the Safari Lounge and Bar is a great place to sit back. It also has a small library with books in different languages.
Other Facilities
The Maharajas’ Express offers great comfort with many helpful features. Each cabin has a spacious wardrobe and a special space under the bed for storing luggage. You can adjust the room temperature to your liking with individual climate control.
Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi, and safety is looked after with smoke detectors and CCTV in public areas. There’s also a phone dial system in the cabins (extra charges may apply).
The washrooms are fully equipped with a bathtub, shower, basin, and running hot and cold water. Clean bed sheets and towels are provided, and a paramedic is always on board in case of any emergency.
