Maharajas Express Facilities

Comfort and Style in Every Carriage

The train has 23 coaches in total. These include guest rooms, dining areas, bars, lounges, a power coach, and a storage coach. Out of these, 14 coaches are used for guest rooms and can carry up to 84 people. There’s also a special lounge called the Rajah Club that has its own private bar. The train has two dining coaches and one bar coach. It also has a water filter system on board to provide clean drinking water.

Inside the Luxury Guest Cabins: Deluxe to Presidential Suites

The train can hold up to 84 guests, with space to sit and sleep. There are 20 Deluxe Cabins, 18 Junior Suites, 4 Suites, and one special Presidential Suite. All the suites come with a full bathroom.

The Presidential Suite is extra special — it takes up a whole coach by itself. It has a private sitting and dining area, a master bedroom with a bathroom that includes both a shower and a bathtub, and a second bedroom with two beds and its own bathroom with a shower.

Dining and Bar Coaches: Rang Mahal, Mayur Mahal & Rajah Club

The train has two dining coaches called Rang Mahal and Mayur Mahal. Both offer a full fine dining experience. Mayur Mahal, also known as the Peacock Restaurant, is decorated with a peacock feather theme. There’s also a special bar coach called the Rajah Club. For relaxing, guests can visit the Safari Lounge and Bar, which also has a library with books in different languages.

Other Facilities

The Maharaja Express India offers great comfort with many useful facilities. Each cabin has a spacious wardrobe and a special place under the bed for luggage. You can set the room temperature just the way you like with individual climate control. Stay connected with free Wi-Fi, and feel safe with smoke detectors and CCTV in public areas. There’s also a phone dial system (extra charges may apply). The washrooms are fully equipped with a bath tub, shower, basin, and running hot and cold water.
