Embark on a journey like no other aboard the Maharajas’ Express, exploring the Treasures of India. Feel the thrill of spotting the elusive tiger in its natural habitat at Ranthambore National Park. Then, lose yourself in the vibrant colors and rich history of Jaipur, also known as the Pink City, where regal heritage meets bustling bazaars and stunning palaces. This is more than a trip; it’s an unforgettable adventure through the heart of India’s most treasured sites.
When you board the Maharajas’ Express, please arrive at the pre-assigned venue in Delhi at least an hour before departure. This allows you to take advantage of the pre-boarding facilities and ensures a smooth start to your journey.
If you’re a foreign national, don’t forget to obtain a Tourist VISA for your visit to India. Also, make sure your passport is valid for at least six months from your departure date from India. This will help you avoid any last-minute hassles and ensure a seamless travel experience.
Day 1 – Delhi to Agra – Sunday
Your adventure begins this morning at Delhi Safdarjung station. Please assemble at approximately 7:00 AM to complete your check-in formalities. The Maharajas’ Express will depart from Delhi at 8:15 AM, heading towards Agra.
While on board, enjoy a delicious breakfast and lunch as you get acquainted with your fellow travelers. Join us for a session on the train where you’ll receive a tour brief and meet your facilitators for this exciting journey.
As we arrive in Agra, known as the ‘City of Mughal Splendour,’ prepare to visit the world-famous Taj Mahal. This breathtaking monument, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Taj Mahal is an architectural masterpiece made entirely of white marble, adorned with intricate inlay work and marble screens.
After your visit, return to the Maharajas’ Express. You can relax onboard or choose to participate in optional activities. For more details, please contact the Guest Relations Executive.

Day 2 – Agra and Ranthambore – Monday
Rise early this morning and disembark to explore the magnificent Agra Fort. After your visit, return to the train for a relaxed breakfast as we make our way to the next destination, Ranthambore. Lunch will be served on board during the journey.
Upon arrival in Ranthambore, get ready for an exciting game drive in Ranthambore National Park. Once the private hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur, this park was declared a National Park in 1973. It’s renowned for its chances to see tigers in the wild, as well as other wildlife like sambar, chital, nilgai, chinkara, wild boar, sloth bears, hyenas, jackals, and leopards. While the safari here can’t be compared to those in Africa, spotting a tiger or a leopard is a truly special experience.
The safari is conducted in open vehicles, which can be quite bumpy and dusty, so be sure to bring warm clothes if you’re traveling in the winter months.
After your adventurous safari, return to the Maharajas’ Express. Enjoy dinner on board as the train proceeds towards Jaipur.

Day 3 – Jaipur – Tuesday
Upon disembarkation, you will receive a grand traditional welcome as you begin your exciting tour of the Pink City with a visit to the Amber Fort. Nestled in the picturesque and rugged hills, Amber Fort is a captivating blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. Built by Raja Man Singh I in 1592 and completed by Mirja Raja Jai Singh, the fort is constructed of red sandstone and white marble. Despite its rugged exterior, the fort houses an inner paradise, showcasing a stunning fusion of art and architecture. Amber Fort is the epitome of a romantic fort-palace with its magnificent aura.
A short jeep ride will take you up to the fort, where you will enjoy a tour of the royal apartments with breathtaking views of the gorge. Experience the splendor of the Mughal era as you explore the Chamber of Mirrors (Sheesh Mahal) and the Hall of Victory.
Return to the train for a leisurely lunch on board. After lunch, you can relax on board or choose to participate in optional activities. For more details on these activities, please contact the Guest Relations Executive.
In the evening, prepare for an exclusive dinner at the Rambagh Palace Hotel. Built in 1835 AD, Rambagh Palace was the residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur from 1925 to 1957 before being converted into a luxury hotel. The palace retains its royal splendor with hand-carved marble latticework and elaborate gardens.
After dinner, return to the station by 9:00 PM as the Maharajas’ Express proceeds towards Delhi.

Day 4 – Delhi – Wednesday
Start your morning with a leisurely breakfast on board as the Maharajas’ Express arrives back into Delhi.
You will disembark at Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station at around 10:00 AM.
